EMBA programs (or executive MBA programs) are an attractive option for mid-career professionals who have already reached the executive level in a specific role, but would like to obtain the broad business knowledge offered by an MBA program. EMBA programs cater to an executive’s schedule, typically meeting on weekends or on designated weeks. The curriculum is typically similar to a regular MBA curriculum, but may offer fewer elective options. EMBA tuition is typically paid for my the student’s own company
All in all, the EMBA program is a good choice for executive who aren’t looking to switch careers or companies, but wants to broaden his/her skillset in order to move up the corporate ranks. If your company is willing to foot your tuition for an elite school, why not take advantage?
